Don't Want to Do A Song? Sound Poem!

So we came across some examples of sound poetry in a few sections, but not all. So I thought I'd invite those interested to listen.

I personally really like sound poetry. This is a pretty succint survey of the sound poetry scene.

This is Jaap Blonk - a famous sound poet - reading a poem. He actually performed at Medellin's massive poetry festival in 1998.

Here's "glass lass" a more recent performance with video.

Invisibly in NYC

You´re getting close to my favorite part of the novel: New York. I'd like two entries by next Monday. I'd like to see at least one more before the next time we meet.

In addition, you are to watch the first part ("Eternity")  from The Romantics a BBC documentary about this super-important literary movement we didn't really have a chance to discuss in class. This will help you on the exam trust me. Respond to it in a blog entry. Be sure to discuss specific moments. Here's a website with more info. Next week I'll ask you to watch at least one more episode. If you want you can go all out and watch the whole thing. When else can you study by watching movies?
